London’s iconic black cab might be the centrepiece our business, but getting from A-Z is one of the ways we don’t use the cabs! Let’s take a look at the surprising and creative ways this fleet of beautiful vehicles gets put to use at Black Cab Coffee.
1. MOBILE COFFEE
Coffee from a cab? Yes indeed! Popping out from the roof of a classic London taxi cab to serve premium coffee never fails to turn heads. I mean, it’s a pretty unexpected thing to see, right? The next surprise is when the coffee proves to be up there with the best; getting everything from nods of approval to sighs of satisfaction and slurps of delight. What a wonderful world we live in.
So what inspired this unusual marriage between the London icon and the world’s greatest hot drink? It goes back to the Black Cab founders: Emmy & Grey.
Once upon a time… Emmy, who used to cart massage therapists around in a Black Cab for her business (Mobile Massage) met Graham, connoisseur, lover of coffee and sporter of the most enviable barista’s beard. The two came together and the Black Cab Coffee concept was born: premium coffee sourced from ethical producers around the world, prepared with classy equipment and mobile enough to pop up virtually anywhere.

2. ART INSTALLATION
Thanks to the flagship project from the 9 Elms Arts Ministry, every year at Christmas time talented local artists transform our black cab outside the coffee shop in wildly creative makeovers. The cab becomes one of the ‘windows’ in the Nine Elms Advent Calendar art trail with a new installation opening each day throughout December. So far, we have enjoyed Love In A Black Cab, a disco conversion and last year’s extraordinary nativity scene. 3. MOBILE BAR
Pushing the Black Cab Coffee concept into new realms, our mobile bar is based around our signature Espresso Martini cocktails but caters for more than just coffee lovers with Pornstar Martinis another popular choice. Not into cocktails? How’s about a G&T or a great selection of beer and quality soft drinks.
